MKIT excelled at Hackers to Hackers Conference in Brazil

The company specialized in IT security excelled at the conference that gathered the leading professionals of the sector in São Paulo.

Mkit participated in the 14 th edition of the renowned Hackers to Hackers Conference in Brazil. Apart from being part of the program with the lecture on “Medical records in the black market”, with the CEO of the company, Matías Katz, as lecturer, the company had a special prominence as an event sponsor.

Katz emphasized on how to face this type of security threats: “the correct combination of defense processes, together with the execution of constant testing and detection mechanisms may represent a significant difference in the level of exposure for any type of organization".

In the capacity of the company as official sponsor, members of the Mkit board could access VIP areas for networking with other regional companies, introducing its strategy and world-wide services. Network Threat Alert was the top product presented at the conference.

On the other hand, new talents were recruited. Regarding selected profiles, a Back End Developer, a Full Stack Developer and a Senior Security Researcher were incorporated to strengthen the regional staff of the company.

Therefore, once again, Mkit had a relevant participation at the H2HC, which it attends to, and takes an active role in, since 2012.

Backstage of H2HC as experienced by Mkit members

The members of the Mkit team shared their first-hand experiences in São Paulo:

“H2HC is a one-of- a-kind conference, presenting top-level, international speakers –the kind who travel only to 2 or 3 conferences in the world only because they like them (and H2HC is one of them). On the other hand, in the case of students and beginners, the conference also represents a place to search for support and learn. There are low-cost lectures with an academic focus presented in Portuguese (instead of English, which is the language of more technical lectures) and dozens of communities (hacker clubs such as Garoa -from Brazil-, conferences from other countries, such as Andsec - from Argentina- or teams for technical challenges from Germany) also offer their collaboration and assistance to attendees. It is a friendly environment, there are hugs and meetings, music, technical talks, chats on anything other than IT, and people sitting in the floor in groups, just hanging out. It is one of the best conferences I know in the 4 continents where I have attended to events like this". Matias Katz, Mkit Chief Executive Officer.

“This was my first visit to the conference and I was shocked at the H2HC University room. I think it is a great idea to have activities for those who are beginning in the field of IT security. The technical level of the lectures was remarkable. I will definitely be there next year". Cristian Amicelli, Chief Operating Officer of Mkit.

“H2Hc is a friendly conference to enjoy. Since my first experience I can clearly say not a single attendee cares about what you do or how much you make a year, let alone if you know very much or a little about anything. They welcome everyone as equals and everyone can make a contribution. People learn and have fun. It is a spirit you can only find in Brazil, where the aim seems to be at making people want to help and unite and at least for one weekend forget everything not related to this event. H2HC is one of the few things in life for which you want a whole year go by as fast as it can". Guido Katz, Communications Assistant of Mkit.
